The Ant by Arne Jacobsen

The Ant was designed by Arne Jacobsen in 1952 for the canteen at Novo and is produced by Fritz Hansen. The chair is characterized by a seat and back in a single shell of pressure-moulded veneer on a slender steel frame. Its light construction and organic shape made The Ant an important piece of furniture in the development of Danish design and industrial furniture production.

At KLASSIK, you will find original vintage editions of The Ant from Fritz Hansen. An Ant chair can vary in condition, finish, and execution, and each chair is assessed with a focus on authenticity, quality, and respect for Arne Jacobsen's original design. The Ant chair, or simply The Ant, is today among the most recognizable chairs in Danish furniture history.
