Original vintage lamps and Danish lighting
At KLASSIK, you will find an ever-changing selection of original vintage lamps and classic lighting from the 20th century. The collection includes pendant lights, ceiling lights, table lamps, floor lamps and wall lamps in Danish and Scandinavian design.
Each lamp is selected with a focus on authenticity, quality, condition and significance in design history. The collection changes continuously, and many of our original designer lamps are available as one-of-a-kind pieces.
Danish designer lamps from the 20th century
Danish lighting design is renowned for its interplay between function, aesthetics and the experience of the light itself. Designers such as Poul Henningsen, Vilhelm Lauritzen, Verner Panton and Arne Jacobsen created lamps that are now regarded as some of the most important works in Danish design history.
Poul Henningsen’s PH lamps are known for their glare-free light and distinctive shade system, while Vilhelm Lauritzen created functional lighting for projects including Radiohuset, the Danish Broadcasting House. Verner Panton explored colour and sculptural forms in designs such as the Flowerpot lamp.
Lamps by Louis Poulsen and Fritz Hansen
Many classic Danish lamps were developed through close collaboration between designer and manufacturer. Louis Poulsen played a central role in the development of modern Danish lighting and produced lamps by designers including Poul Henningsen and Vilhelm Lauritzen.
The selection may also include original lamps by manufacturers such as Fritz Hansen, Le Klint, Fog & Mørup, Lyfa, Holmegaard and Nordisk Solar.
Find the right vintage lamp
When choosing a lamp, it is worth considering its placement, size, direction of light and the atmosphere it should create. A pendant light can provide a focal point above a dining table, while a table lamp or floor lamp can offer more localised and comfortable lighting.
On each product page, you will find information about the designer, manufacturer, materials, dimensions, condition and any technical details. You can purchase our vintage lamps online or experience a selection at KLASSIK’s Flagship Store at Bredgade 3 in Copenhagen.
