Stools, trolleys, mirrors and other design classics
In this category, you will find an ever-changing selection of original stools, trolleys, serving carts, wastepaper baskets, bars, mirrors and other smaller pieces of furniture and design objects from the 20th century.
The category brings together distinctive objects that do not naturally belong among chairs, tables or storage furniture, but which remain an important part of Danish and Scandinavian design history. Many of these objects combine a practical function with fine craftsmanship and a distinctive design language.
Smaller furniture and functional design
At KLASSIK, you can find both simple functional furniture and rare collectors’ pieces. The selection may include piano stools, footstools, bar carts, serving tables, wall-mounted and freestanding mirrors, as well as decorative and functional objects for the home.
Designers represented may include Hans J. Wegner, Børge Mogensen, Poul Kjærholm, Nanna Ditzel, Verner Panton and Finn Juhl. The furniture and objects may have been produced by manufacturers such as Fritz Hansen, Fredericia Furniture and Carl Hansen & Søn.
Original vintage finds with history
Materials range from oak, teak and rosewood to leather, metal, glass and mirrored glass. Some objects are preserved in their original condition with natural patina, while others have been carefully restored with respect for their age, construction and original expression.
Since 1991, KLASSIK has specialised in original pre-owned designer furniture from the period spanning approximately 1920 to 1980. Furniture requiring cabinetmaking or new upholstery can be treated in our own workshops. Learn more about our professional restoration services.
