Original lounge chairs in Danish design

At KLASSIK, you will find an ever-changing selection of original and pre-owned lounge chairs by some of the most significant Danish furniture architects of the 20th century. The collection ranges from simple, functional lounge chairs to rare, sculptural design classics in wood, leather, fabric and sheepskin.

Since 1991, we have specialised in original pre-owned designer furniture from the period spanning approximately 1920 to 1980. Each lounge chair is selected with a focus on authenticity, construction, materials, condition and significance in design history.

Vintage lounge chairs by Danish designers

Danish furniture design is renowned for its combination of fine craftsmanship, considered functionality and a confident understanding of materials. Our selection may include vintage lounge chairs designed by Hans J. Wegner, Finn Juhl, Børge Mogensen, Arne Jacobsen, Poul Kjærholm and Illum Wikkelsø.

Learn more about the individual architects and the history behind their furniture in our overview of Danish designers and Danish Modern.

Lounge chairs with original patina or new upholstery

A pre-owned designer lounge chair may retain its original leather or fabric, with natural traces of age and use. Other lounge chairs have been professionally restored and reupholstered with respect for the furniture’s original form, materials and expression.

KLASSIK has its own workshops specialising in cabinetmaking, upholstery and the restoration of classic furniture. Learn more about our reupholstery and restoration services, or explore our selection of restored and reupholstered design classics.

Find the right designer lounge chair

Our selection of original lounge chairs changes continuously, as there are often only one or a small number of examples of each piece. The product description contains information about the designer, manufacturer, materials, dimensions and condition, helping you choose a lounge chair that suits both your home and your preferences.

You can purchase our lounge chairs online or experience a selection at KLASSIK’s Flagship Store at Bredgade 3 in Copenhagen. We offer safe and fully insured delivery throughout Denmark and worldwide.
